The most widely deployed mobile virtualization solution
Q: . . . I mean the Citrix receiver and BT drivers can be implemented on the OS, so the usage of OK L4 microvisor is really providing just the secure isolation in a separate VM?
Yes. If you visit Citrix website, you will notice that the Citrix receiver is now available natively on the iPhone and Android devices. Connectivity drivers such as Bluetooth, HDMI or USB are available natively as well. However, Citrix and OK Labs partnered to release a reference design that is far more flexible, scalable and secure compared to the native architecture. In particular, security is a key driver for Citrix customers who want to deploy Mobile-to-Enterprise (M2E) feature on future smartphones. Most importantly, the Citrix receiver running on the OKL4 Microvisor can easily be maintained without changes across a number of mobile phones running a wide variety of operating systems like Windows, Symbian, or Android.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions regarding the webinar or OKL4 Microvisor in general.
